Gearing up for the Inca Trail
We got up today, grabbed some breakfast, and then headed out to pick up a few items. The first stop was at the artisan market. We were told it was going to be cold up in the mountains and to get a hat and pair of gloves. I picked up a nice pair made from Alpaca for a few US dollars, and I’m glad they were only a few bucks as it never really got that cold and I did not have to use them. So someone out there may get them as a Christmas present. I had some sun screen but it never hurts to have a little extra so we stopped and found more sun screen. We were also told to get bug spray as the mosquitoes are bad. Glad we picked this up, I never applied any and only got a single bite. Next we went on to get a flashlight. I had a nice LED on my phone that works great but it does not hurt to have a second torch. Glad we picked this up, it worked great on the first night but then never worked again. So basically all we did was add extra weight to our packs. We basically took it easy the rest of the day, little lunch, some packing, and then off to bed as Fredy was picking us up early in the morning.
